Inventory Coordinator

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to support inventory accuracy and process excellence across wholesale, production, and Cedar Acres. In this role, you’ll partner cross-functionally to ensure best practices within RF Smart and NetSuite are consistently followed, while providing hands-on support for key inventory functions such as transfers, order picking, and purchase order processing. You’ll play a critical role in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis, monitoring reporting for trends and inconsistencies, and ensuring spoilage is accurately recorded. This position also contributes to cycle counts, year-end inventory coordination, and continuous process improvement initiatives, including training support for inventory systems and procedures.
 


Job Duties:

  • Reduce Wholesale, Production and Cedar Acres inventory shrinkage by determining root cause of inventory shortages related to operational practices such as shipping, receiving, purchase order management, inter-store transfers, point-of-sale transactions, data management, and reporting.
  • Work with all levels in Wholesale, Production and Cedar Acres to build consensus for process change.  Present recommendations for process change to senior management.
  • Support Loss Prevention coordinating and executing physical inventory counts and reconciliation for Wholesale, Production and Cedar Acres.
  • Execute cycle count calendar for Wholesale, Production and Cedar Acres.  Work with stakeholders to organize and implement.  Reconciliation of cycle count discrepancies.  Ensure cycle count program aligns with business goals. 
  • Develop and implement SOPs for all aspects of inventory management across Wholesale, Production and Cedar Acres using problem solving and process improvement methods
  • Training of employees at Wholesale, Production and Cedar Acres on inventory control procedures and effective use of RF Smart & NetSuite technology for shipping, receiving, cycle counting, spoils and physical inventory. Training for employees on the impact of purchase order process on physical inventory.
  • Coordinate with Wholesale, Production and Cedar Acres to ensure SOPs are being followed
  • Enforce policy and procedure related to Loss Prevention and Safety Initiatives Wholesale, Production and Cedar Acres.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in wholesale or production experience preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word & Excel Desirable experience would include RFSmart and Netsuite software
  • Green Industry (Hort, Greenhouse, Nursery, Garden Center) experience preferred
