Marketing & Event Assistant

 Full Time Position: Monday-Friday, weekends and additional hours needed during events and holidays

Bachman’s Marketing team has an opening for a Marketing and Events Assistant. The position is in need of someone who will support the marketing and website team in their strategy and assist with execution to deliver their goals.

Job Duties:

  • This role supports the Director of Marketing & Corporate Communications and is responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of events, workshops, community outreach initiatives, and business partnerships
  • Supports select public relations projects, ensuring seamless coordination and consistent brand voice. 
  • This position manages all bookings and communication for the Bachman’s Heritage Room event space. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 4 Year degree in Marketing or Communications, or equivalent experience 
  • Background in Marketing, Public Relations, or Community Engagement 
  • Familiarity with event planning software and CRM tools 
  • Horticultural knowledge and a love of plants is strongly desired! 
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo, video, copy).
  • Presenting and communication skills.
  • Excellent prioritization and organization skills.
  • Ability to work across department and to work independently to meet uncompromising deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday- Friday 8am to 4:30pm
  • Weekends and longer hours will be needed during events and holidays


Compensation: $20-$23/hour
