Associate Buyer
Full-Time Hourly Position

 

Position Duties:

  • Manage inventory of products in a category that creates impactful displays
  • Responsible for inventory system maintenance of new and existing items, writing purchase orders and entering promotional information
  • Sets replenishment for the category
  • Ensure proper inventory levels are set and maintained for in stocks at retail and on website
  • Develop a marketing plan and set up promotions
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and post items on social media
  • Manage the launch of seasonal categories for the website
  • Creates signing with appropriate content and information
  • Work with stores to support needs, special orders, data integrity issues
  • Communicate regularly with warehouse, fulfillment team and stores
  • Manage grocery items, communicate with grocery team on new items and promotions
  • Partner with the gift buying team to source necessary production items for category
  • Train new employees on NetSuite, CECS and other internal Bachman processes
Qualifications:
  • Requires a college degree or equivalent experience obtained through a minimum of one year of procurement, store operations, or retail distribution experience. Must be able to develop and execute purchasing plans based upon financials, historical information, consumer trends, and marketing instincts.
  • Computer expertise including word processing, spreadsheet management, and Internet skills required.
  • Excellent math skills and communication skills (both verbal and written) to coordinate activity between vendors and internal teams.
  • Will learn the administrative website tool to support Merchandising and Website Team
  • Must be highly self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Floral and plant knowledge preferred.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, occasional overtime during peak seasons

Compensation: $21-$25/hour
