Delivery and Fulfillment Manager

As the Delivery & Fulfillment Manager, you will lead the strategy and daily operations of our delivery and fulfillment teams, ensuring products are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. This role combines operational leadership, team development, and continuous improvement, making it an exciting opportunity for a results-driven leader who is passionate about logistics, efficiency, and service excellence.

Position Duties:

Lead package delivery and order fulfillment operations to achieve productivity, quality, and customer service goals.
Develop and execute strategies to improve delivery and fulfillment performance.
Partner with the Order Center, eCommerce team, buyers, and production teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Train, coach, and develop team members while ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.
Support recruiting and workforce planning efforts, including seasonal hiring needs.
Create growth and development opportunities for delivery, fulfillment, eCommerce, and retail teams.
Monitor and analyze operational and financial performance, including productivity metrics, budgets, and P&L results.
Evaluate delivery and handling fees annually and recommend pricing adjustments as needed.
Participate in strategic planning initiatives and manage departmental purchases within budget guidelines.
Ability to oversee outdoor operations in all weather conditions.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Availability to work extended hours, including 50+ hour weeks during peak seasons.
Occasional handling of lawn care chemicals.

Qualifications:

2 year degree and/or 3+ years supervisory experience required. College degree preferred
Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills required.
Ability to lead and manage union employees effectively.
Computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to train new employees and existing employees in all job duties.
Ability to think on your feet and solve problems to meet customer service expectations.
Ability to create and update accurate, detailed and concise written fulfillment processing procedures.
Ability to collaborate with upstream customers (Buying staff, Nursery, Greenhouse, Order Center) to develop related procedures to improve fulfillment time and streamline the fulfillment procedure.
Ability to collaborate with downstream customers (Stores, Delivery) to ensure internal level of service expectations are met
Systems literacy in DDMS, NetSuite and RFSmart

Schedule: Monday-Saturday, 6:00am-2:30pm. Some PM shifts seasonally.

Compensation: $65k
