Position Duties:
Revenue Generation
- Develop a high-performance culture, motivating team to meet assigned sales and productivity goals.
- Analyze sales reports to determine the needs of the business; in partnership with Assistant Store Managers, executes in store business and sales strategies.
- Train and coach to ensure selling team is fluent in all aspects of product knowledge.
- Drive the financial performance of the store by ensuring that sales and profit goals are achieved, including leading the leadership team in controlling expenses.
Store Operations

- Plan strategically and demonstrate the ability to determine goals, direction and actions.
- Get things done. Motivate self and others to accomplish important objectives despite a complex and sometimes ambiguous environment.
- React quickly and appropriately to problems in the store; follows-up in a timely manner to issues not immediately resolvable; tie up all loose ends.
- Communicate new initiatives, leadership messages, and promotions.
- Control payroll budget by creating and approving schedules based on business needs and monitor store staffing levels.
- Follow and lead best practices.
- Perform and oversee basic operational activities such as scheduling, physical inventory, opening and closing duties, time sheet review, payroll accuracy documents, and merchandise flow.
- Understand and enforce all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model; holds associates to a high safety standard.
Customer Service
- Ensure a fast and efficient register experience, remaining current on policies regarding payments, coupon acceptance, returns and exchanges.
- Foster a customer experience that goes beyond the ordinary and inspires customer loyalty.
- Ensure team maintains consistent rewards program participation.
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns.
People Management
- Build relationships. Establish trust and credibility with people over time; establish rapport with people; has smooth working relationships with people inside and outside of the organization.
- Establish and communicate clear expectations, holding store team and themselves accountable for achieving all brand, performance, and behavior standards.
- Accountable for personnel issues including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.
- Communicate with store teams to effectively lead positive change.
- Assess and coaches store team on performance.
- Ensure that store team adheres to all employment practices and policies.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring and developing a high performing team.
Product Management
- Ensure visual presentation, organization, and facility maintenance are representative of Bachman’s.
- Lead and/or assign daily tasks including merchandising, stocking and inventory disposition of product.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years general management experience to include high volume financial accountability.
- 4 years supervising 50 or more exempt and non-exempt associates
- Associates degree in Business, Horticulture, or related post-secondary education.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership qualities, training and team building skills.
- Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
- Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
- Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
- Able to be on feet for long periods while performing job responsibilities.
- Able to work in all types of temperatures and weather conditions.
- Regular attendance is essential to this position to ensure adequate coverage.
- Ability to lift 50lbs regularly. Able to lift product, pull and push heavy pallets and carts regularly.
- High energy level with the ability to provide strong leadership, train, delegate and motivate staff.
- Personal documented history of exceptional performance and track record of supporting company management, policies and procedures.
Schedule:
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Job may require hours that often exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week during peak periods.

Compensation: $85,000-$95,000 salary
