Nursery Person - Equipment Operator, Hardscapes

Qualifications:

High school diploma plus 2-year certificate in related field.
Two years’ experience in operation of nursery/farm machinery and equipment including tractors, skid loaders, forklift, front-end loader, dump truck, tree space, road grader semi-tractor/trailer, and/or others.
Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly
Valid driver’s license.
Training in CPR and First Aid desirable
Landscape hardgoods knowledge strongly preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions

Duties:

Load soil, rock, mulch, natural stone and concrete materials on trucks and trailers
Operate all equipment in a safe, responsible manner
Perform routine light maintenance on equipment
Pull orders in a timely manner
Work with buyers and sales team to keep yard stocked and inventory accurate
Provide excellent customer service
Perform all Nursery Person duties as directed.
Train other staff as needed.
Perform equipment and facilities maintenance and housekeeping duties as directed.
Perform other duties as directed. Assist in other areas as needed.

Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday – Friday, April-November. Overtime and flexibility required during peak season. This position is subject to seasonal reassignment.
